Public Notice - Issued July 1, 2020: Ordinance 20 - 07

The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township hereby gives public notice that a public hearing on Ordinance 20-07, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2020. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m.in the Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince Street, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. 

Ordinance 20-07, would amend Section 203-301.A of the Lower Paxton Township Zoning Ordinance (the “Zoning Ordinance”) to add TC Towne Center to the list of designated zoning districts. Ordinance 20-07 would also amend Section 203-301.D of the Zoning Ordinance to add paragraph 17, which provides as follows: (17) TC Towne Centre District. The provisions of § 203-321. A. shall apply.

In addition, Ordinance 20-07 would add a new Section 203-321, TOWNE CENTER (TC) District to the Zoning Ordinance, which would include provisions with regard to Intent, Uses (Permitted, Conditional and Prohibited), Mixed Use, Master Plan, General Requirements, Dimensional Requirements, Design Standards, Bonus Provisions, Parking Standards, Streetscaping Standards, Usable Open Space Standards and Definitions.

Ordinance 20-07 also contains a repealer clause, a severability clause and a saving clause.

Following the public hearing on July 21, 2021, the Board of Supervisors will consider enactment of Ordinance No. 20-07.

Public Notice - Issued July 1, 2020: Ordinance 20-06

The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township hereby gives public notice that a public hearing on Ordinance 20-06, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2020. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m.in the Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince Street, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. 

Ordinance 20-06 would repeal Ordinance 95-6, 95-7, 95-10 and 19-04 which established policy and procedures for the issuance of building permits in the Beaver Creek Basin.  The Board of Supervisors desires to repeal the Beaver Creek Permits issuance procedures established by Ordinance 95-6, 95-7, 95-10 and 19-04, which are no longer necessary, due to the accumulation of a sufficient number of permits within the Beaver Creek Basin. 

Following the public hearing on July 7, 2021, the Board of Supervisors will consider enactment of Ordinance No. 20-06.

Public Notice - Issued May 21, 2020: Meeting Schedule Change
The Lower Paxton Township Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2020 has been rescheduled. This meeting will be held at the Township Municipal Center in Room 174, Wednesday, June 3, 2020, beginning at 7:00 P.M. Also, the Township’s Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday June 3, 2020, has been rescheduled. This meeting will be held at the Township Municipal Center in Room 174, Thursday, June 4, 2020, beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Public Notice - Issued April 21, 2020: Ordinance 20-03

The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township hereby gives public notice that a public hearing on Ordinance 20-03, is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2020. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince Street, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

Ordinance 20-03 Amends Chapter 196 of the Code of Ordinances Titled, "Vehicles and Traffic," as it pertains to the Parking of Truck Tractors, and Trailers.

The Board of Supervisors hereby amends the sections as included hereinbelow, within Chapter 196, to read as follows:

§ 196-25. A. Truck tractors and trailers. The parking of truck tractors, truck tractors with trailers and trailers is prohibited on or along any and all public streets in any residential zoning district according to the zoning classifications and regulations set forth in Chapter 203, Zoning.

§ 196-25. B. Truck tractors and trailers. Truck tractors with trailers may be temporarily parked on or along any public street within a residential any zoning district for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading property in front of or making local deliveries to premises situate on said street, provided that at least three portable emergency warning devices are displayed upon the roadway at the approach to the vehicle.

§ 196-27. C. Violations and penalties. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this article relating to parking a truck tractor, tractor-trailer, camper, trailer, boat or other similar vehicle on a public street shall pay a fine in the sum of $25 if paid within five days, or upon failure to pay the sum of $25 within the aforementioned time period, then upon summary conviction before a District Justice be sentenced to pay a fine of $50 and the costs of prosecution, and in default of the payment thereof shall be imprisoned in the Dauphin County Prison for not more than five days.

Following the public hearing on May 5, 2020, the Board of Supervisors will consider the enactment of Ordinance No. 20-03.

Public Notice - Issued April 21, 2020: NPDES Individual Permit Application for Stormwater Discharges

The linked document is available for public review.  The application is for a new individual NPDES permit for the discharge of stormwater from a regulated municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) to waters of the Commonwealth in Lower Paxton Township.

The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township hereby gives public notice that a public hearing on Ordinance 19-08, is scheduled for January 21, 2020. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince Street, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Ordinance 19-08 Amends Chapter 152 of the Code of Ordinances Titled, "Registration of Defaulted Mortgage Property," By renaming the Chapter "Registration of Defaulted and Vacant Property" – Providing for purpose, intent, and applicability requiring the registration and maintenance of certain real property by mortgages and owners, providing for penalties and enforcement, as well as the regulation, limitation, and reduction of registrable real property within Lower Paxton Township; providing for severability, repealer, codification, and effective date.
Following the public hearing on January 21, 2020, the Board of Supervisors will consider the enactment of Ordinance No. 19-08.

The Board of Supervisors of Lower Paxton Township hereby gives public notice that a public hearing on Ordinance 20-01, is scheduled for January 21, 2020. The public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Municipal Building, 425 Prince Street, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Ordinance 20-01 Approves the vacation of a portion of Conway Road to Conway Associates, LLC. The vacation of Conway Road is a result of Conway Road being realigned as part of the Kendale Oaks, Ph 4 Subdivision Plan. The required realignment has been inspected and approved by the Township. This Ordinance will provide a reversion of a portion of the right-of-way of Conway Road to Conway Road Associates, LLC.
Following the public hearing on January 21, 2020, the Board of Supervisors will consider the enactment of Ordinance No. 20-01.
