Lower Paxton Township possesses 19 public park facilities and approximately 400 acres of parkland maintained by the Public Works Department. Park facilities range from lightly developed forest and mountain land to established athletic fields, playgrounds, and activity courts.
Outdoor Recreational Facilities
The inventory of outdoor recreational facilities includes

Routine & Long-Term Maintenance
The Public Works Department performs routine and long term maintenance to all park facilities. Maintenance activities include, but are not limited to,:
- Aerating athletic fields in the spring and fall
- Emptying trash cans
- General park maintenance
- Inspection and cleaning playground equipment
- Mowing grass
- Replenishing playground mulch
- Tilling ball infields
