Eco Art Gnome Home Trail
New for spring 2026!
Lower Paxton Township Arts Council calls all builders, makers, and nature lovers of all ages and skill levels to help bring Lingle Park to life with an Eco Art Gnome Home Trail.
Become a builder and help to beautify Lower Paxton parks by creating a Gnome Home at the Lingle Park Trail.
Individuals or groups are invited to create a small, imaginative Gnome Home using naturally found or eco-friendly materials. These one-of-a-kind creations will be displayed along a walking trail for the community to explore during our free, family-friendly event, Kite Festival, on April 18, 2026.
How It Works
- Think of a theme.
- Complete this online Application form.
- Application requirements include:
- A title for the Gnome Home
- A brief statement describing how the Gnome Home is eco-friendly and its design theme
- Graphic(s) portraying the concept. Sketches of designs are acceptable
- Application materials must be submitted by 8:00pm on February 27, 2026.
- Builders will be responsible for all their own supplies.
- Builders will be notified of acceptance and location on park trail after the Arts Council reviews on March 4, 2026.
- Builders will bring their Gnome Homes to be placed along the trail on April 18, 2026, between 10:00 am and noon (rain or shine).
- Gnome Homes can be taken home after 4:00 pm on April 18, 2026, or can be left along the park trail with the understanding that there's a risk for damage by weather and public access.
- Please email Lena at lgreen@lowerpaxton-pa.gov with any questions.

- To protect our park environment, resin, plastics, glass jars, and other non-biodegradable or synthetic materials are not permitted. All materials must be natural, eco-friendly, or recyclable (e.g., wood, bark, pinecones, sticks, leaves, cardboard, cork).
- No permanent damage to trees or park features with installation.
- Size requirement is 24” x 24” or smaller.
- Gnome Home is able to be placed safely along the trail.
