Authority Bill Insert Clarification:
Recently, residents of Lower Paxton Township should have received the quarterly Authority bill in the mail. Within the bill was an insert that contained information related to the Friendship Center as well as a Thank You to the community for their continued support of the Police Department and our first responders.
Some confusion has transpired regarding the content of the insert related to the Friendship Center. We apologize if the insert was misleading. The insert was crafted and sent to the printer a month prior to the bills being mailed out to residents. This is standard operating procedure with the printing of the Authority bills. The decision was made to keep the Friendship Center closed between the time the insert was sent to the printer and the time it reached residents, . The Township did not have the ability to update the insert with new content.
We apologize if the insert gave residents the wrong idea. The Friendship Center will continue to remain closed at this time.
