Lower Paxton Township residents looking to declutter this season will have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items during the upcoming Spring Clean-Out Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 7, from 8 AM to noon, rain or shine.
The event will take place at the Penn Grant Centre, 777 E Park Drive. Participants are reminded that this is a self-unloading event—residents must bring their own hand truck or dolly to unload items.
Each household is permitted to drop off up to four bulk items, including one item containing Freon, and either six 13-gallon trash bags or three 32-gallon trash bags.
Acceptable items include appliances, furniture, mattresses, box springs, a single car tire (without rim), lawn mowers with fluids removed, plumbing fixtures, and up to three 4-foot carpet rolls (tied).
However, certain items will not be accepted, including electronic devices, chemicals, paints, liquids, batteries, automotive parts, hazardous materials, tires with rims, construction debris, or any commercial or industrial waste.
This event provides a convenient and safe way for residents to dispose of large household items that are not typically collected through curbside pickup.
