This year's open house will be held on Sunday, October 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Colonial Park station, 433 S. Houcks Road. The theme for 2023 is “Cooking Safety Starts with YOU. Pay Attention to Fire Prevention”
The fire company will have fire apparatus displays and demonstrations as well as refreshments, an obstacle course and other games for kids, lifesaving fire prevention materials and tours of the firehouse.
Visitors will also have a chance to get a birds-eye view of Lower Paxton Township from the fire company’s 95-foot tower truck.
Learn about home fire prevention and find out how your fire company needs community minded individuals to serve as volunteer firefighters, fire police and to assist with many non-firefighting tasks at the fire station.
