[ARCHIVED] UPDATE: Public Advisory – Water Quality Concerns

water quality advisory graphic

Thursday 6/26/25 update from Veolia:

Veolia is aware that discoloration is still impacting customers.
Crews will be flushing the Marysville area again today (6/26) and will continue flushing portions of Lower Paxton Township (this may impact customers along Linglestown Road in Susquehanna Twp). Flushing is scheduled to begin mid-day.

Crews have been working around the clock to try to rectify this issue. After the flushing occurs, it will take time for the water to run clear as water works its way through the system and into your home.

During the flushing, you may experience temporary discoloration or low pressure. To clear discolored water, run your cold water tap for 5-10 minutes. If discoloration persists after 24 hours, please contact our Customer Service at 888-299-8972. We apologize for the inconvenience.

======================================================================================

Lower Paxton Township is aware of the ongoing concerns regarding discolored water within the Veolia Water system. Please be assured that the Township has been in direct communication with Veolia representatives regarding the issue.

At this time, Veolia has confirmed there is no leak or system failure affecting water volume or pressure. They are actively flushing the system in impacted areas to help resolve the discoloration. In addition, DEP, PUC, and PEMA have been notified and are actively monitoring the situation.

  • Veolia asks any customer experiencing discoloration in their water to contact Veolia Customer service at 888-299-8972.

Lower Paxton Township will continue to monitor the issue closely and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this matter is addressed.

— Adam Kosheba, Interim Assistant Township Manager
