The Lower Paxton Historical Commission invites the public to a free event featuring author and re-enactor David Biser discussing the life of John Harris at 6:30 tonight at the Lower Paxton Township Municipal Building.

John Harris is recognized as the first settler to establish a trading post along the Susquehanna River and the founder of the city of Harrisburg.  This site, for three quarters of a century, was known as Harris' Ferry and what would later become the state capital of Pennsylvania.

David Biser, will also have his new book available to purchase and autographed.
