A joint effort between the Township's three volunteer fire companies has led to a new website and social media presence.
As part of the 2019 SAFER Grant received by the Township, substantial grant money was earmarked for advertising and recruitment for the Township’s three volunteer fire companies; Colonial Park, Linglestown and Paxtonia.
Step one of complying with the grant was creating a combined website as well as combined social media accounts to promote fire suppression, prevention, and recruitment activities. Recently, lopaxfire.org went live as well as the Facebook Page: Lower Paxton Fire. These efforts will assist the fire companies in expressing a shared message throughout the township. The website has an interactive map that will assist residents in better understanding which fire company covers their house and which is closest if they’re looking to volunteer!
