Lower Paxton Township Declares Snow Emergency
Lower Paxton Township, PA – Due to the evolving concerns surrounding the severe weather conditions impacting Lower Paxton Township, the Board of Supervisors and Township Manager have declared a snow emergency. Issuing this declaration is an effort to maximize administrative capabilities and an exercise in extreme caution and is permissible under Chapter 23, Section 6, Paragraph 7 of the Codified Ordinance of Lower Paxton Township.
This declaration advises the public to limit travel to only essential and emergency trips. While declarations of disaster emergencies are not typical, this is not meant to panic residents or cause fear. This action is meant to assist Township operations.
The Township is urging residents to limit travel and where possible, remove vehicles from roadways so that Township personnel may clear adequately clear roadways. If you must travel, please use extreme caution.
