PennDOT Plans Display for Blue Ridge Ave Bridge Replacement - Posted 5.1.19

Lower Paxton Township, in conjunction with PennDOT District 8-0, will present a plans display for the replacement of the bridge on Blue Ridge Avenue over Beaver Creek in Lower Paxton and West Hanover Townships, Dauphin County. This bridge is located just west of the intersection of Piketown Road and Blue Ridge Avenue. This project replaces the existing 44–foot long, two-span bridge with a 56-foot long, one-span bridge. The new bridge will be 28 feetwide to accommodate two 10-foot travel lanes and two four-foot shoulders. Approximately 500 feet of roadway reconstruction is included in the project along with guide rail replacement, and embankment work. Traffic will be detoured during construction. A display of engineering plans, including the proposed detour, will be available for viewing at the Township Building from May 6, 2019 through May 17, 2019, during normal business hours.
