On May 18th at about 5:30 PM, a male operating a gold sedan, possibly a Saturn, followed a vehicle driven by a female into her driveway in the 1100 block of Willoughby Rd. The male walked up to the female, flashed a star shaped badge, and accused the female of cutting off another motorist. On May 21st at about 11:00 AM, another female driver reported that she pulled into the Empire Beauty School at 3941 Jonestown Rd. where she was confronted by a male driving what she described as a gold Ford Taurus and who also flashed a star shaped badge. The male accused the female of littering but stated that, since he was off duty and out of uniform, he could not issue a citation. The male did write down the driver’s name and birth date on a yellow tablet.
In both cases, the male is described as a White/Male, 50-60 years of age, 5’7”-5’9” tall, heavy set, wearing glasses and, in the first incident, having a mustache. No emergency lighting was displayed on the vehicle in either incident and the first incident was around 5:30 PM and the second was around 11:00 AM.

Police that her silver Suzuki Forenza was stolen from the parking lot behind her apartment sometime between 10:00 AM and 9:30 PM yesterday. May 11, 2010 - A 73-year-old Lower Paxton Township resident has reported that she received a telephone call from someone purporting to be her son but who called her “Grandma”. The caller stated that he had been arrested for DUI in Toronto, Canada and needed $2000 wired via Western Union to a person in London because he was being charged in the “Queen’s Court.” The resident wired the money. She then received another call requesting an additional $2000, which she also wired. However, she became suspicious and called Western Union and cancelled the second transaction which had not yet been picked up. The first $2000 had already been claimed and is lost.
Residents are cautioned that this is a common scam and they should not send large sums of money by Western Union unless they are 100% sure that it is a legitimate transaction and they know exactly who will be picking up the money. Always consult with the police and/or a trusted family member before sending money.
