LOWER PAXTON NIGHT OUT FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

The Lower Paxton Township Police Department is planning to once again unite members of the community and township public safety services for “The 9th Annual Lower Paxton Night Out for Public Safety”.  The event will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9 PM at Koons Park. This event will be similar to events held for the past seven years at Township parks and is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, gain support for local crime prevention efforts, produce stronger neighborhood spirit, strengthen community partnerships and most importantly, send a message to criminals that the community is organized and is prepared to figh back against crime

Events have been scheduled throughout the evening that will allow the Police Department and local public safety services to demonstrate and explain the services they provide to the community.  An evening family concert performed by the Lower Paxton Commnunity Band is planned. There will be plenty of events designed for the kids as well as free refreshments for those who attend.

If you have questions or require further information, please contact Sergeant Tom Waller or Officer Ralph Palm at 657-5656.
