NATIONAL NIGHT OUT FOR PUBLIC SAFETY
The Lower Paxton Township Police Department is planning to once again unite members of the community and township public safety services for the “2012 Lower Paxton Night Out for Public Safety”. The event will be held on Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at George Park. The evening is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, gain support for local crime prevention efforts, produce stronger neighborhood spirit, strengthen community partnerships and most importantly, send a message to criminals that the community is organized and is prepared to fight back against crime. It is also an opportunity for the public to meet township police officers, fire department, and emergency medical services personnel.
The Police Department and other local public safety services will hold demonstrations throughout the evening and explain the services they provide to the community. Static displays from these and other agencies will be provided and will allow direct public contact with the agencies throughout the evening.
The evening is free of charge to citizens and we hope to see a large number of Lower Paxton Township residents attend the event.
Please contact Officer LuAnna Brook at 717-657-5656 ext. 1147 with any questions regarding Night Out for Public Safety.
